OUR STRATEGIC INITIATIVES 2008-2011
Maximize Student Success
We will create opportunities for each student to achieve his/her goals through powerful teaching, effective instructional strategies, and rigorous and relevant curriculum, K-12.

Schools as Centers of Community Life
Schools will become Centers of Community Life that invest in our community and create connections across the differences that would otherwise divide us.

Wellness
Each school’s program will foster the physical, mental, and social health of students, staff, and families

Parents & Community
The district will engage “Parents as Partners” to ensure that all parents feel connected to our schools, are effective in supporting their child’s education and have a greater voice in what happens in the school district.

Math/Science/Technology and the Arts
Developing student knowledge and skills in Math/Science/Technology and in the Arts as a central building block for all grade levels, K-12
