Benefits
Sick Leave
10 days per year for certificated employees.
12 days for twelve-month full time classified employees.
10 days for ten-month full time classified employees.
Vacation
Refer to your union contract for details on vacation and sick time, and other leaves.
Vacation for classified employees is granted after the first year of employment.
Salary Schedule Placement
Certificated personnel are given credit for prior public school teaching years or equivalent experience up to four years.
The highest initial salary placement for a new teacher is Step Five (5).
Salary Payment Plan
If your hire date is the beginning of the school year, you may elect to be paid in twelve (12) or ten (10) installments.
Those hired after the first day of school will be paid in ten (10) installments during the first year of employment.
This option is available provided the election form is submitted prior to the start of the school year.
Union Membership
Contact your union representative regarding application for membership.
Timesheets
Hourly classified workers must submit time sheets.
Salaried employees must complete time sheets for extra duties and overtime only.
